It is no secret that this creaky blog is updated sporadically and is due for a facelift, but I would still like to use this modest platform to announce a tour I will be leading this September to the Pamir Mountains in Tajikistan.

The Pamir—the original "Roof of the World"—is one of Central Asia’s most captivating regions. Beyond its complex, soul-expanding geography, it is home to a wealth of historical and human wonders that make this adventurous journey uniquely rewarding.
Traveling in a small group, we will stay in local guesthouses throughout the Pamir villages, embracing the warmth and directness of the local culture. This tour is designed for travelers who aren't deterred by long drives or simple lodgings (which remain clean and comfortable, hot showers included) and who seek the depth found in sacred topography and unmediated human connection.
